Jeppesen
Jeppesen has teamed up with Diamond to create a Web-based private pilot curriculum specific to DA20 and DA40 aircraft. Being online “provides access to all the resources of the Internet,” says Jeppesen’s Kert Thielen. “It also means we can constantly update the content.” The format will also make it easy for Jeppesen to re-design the course to be compatible with other aircraft types. The course follows the FAA’s FITS training guidelines, which are scenario-based. The private pilot version will be available in November via Diamond Flight Centers, Thielen said. More courses for advanced ratings also are in the works.
The package also includes a suite of tools to help the flight school keep track of student progress. “Aircraft -specific ground training helps students to better retain knowledge and apply it to their flight training,” said Jeppesen’s Kevin Collins. “And Internet-based delivery will make the courses convenient for both students and instructors.”

Airline Industry
Have you heard? A family is sueing American Airlines! Do you know what for? Apparently, one of their relatives was in the little bathroom and had a heart attack, and AA ground crews didn’t discover his now-dead body untill they were on the ground. I personally think this is ridiculous. Why should AA be made to pay just because someone croaked in their bathrooms? What were they suposed to do?? Telepathically know that he had died, break down the door, and put im in the cargo hold? Hopefully AA will win. I just get angry when people lump the entrity of airline travel and label it “unaceptable”
If you’re so smart, why don’t you take care of it? Airlines are not evil companies out to DESTROY US ALL; it simply is an industry that connects the world. It, like everything, has it’s problems, but I can’t wait for the day when it finally becomes un-popular to bash the whole aviation industry.

Flight
I am planning a double NW circut this Sunday if I can get my computer back to functioning condition by friday. I am also bringing FS7 to my friends tomorrow because he had an interest in buying one, but I do believe it will pay for itself being able to watch my friend, who has had no flight experence at all attempt to fly. ![]()
